As a Maintenance Technician at Career Systems Development Corporation, you support a mission-driven Job Corps campus by maintaining safe, clean, and functional facilities for students and staff. In this on-site role, you perform preventive and corrective maintenance on buildings, dorms, classrooms, and grounds, including basic HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general repairs. You respond to work orders and emergencies, help set up learning spaces, and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

Working collaboratively with campus teams, you directly impact young adults' learning and residential experience every day.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine preventive and corrective maintenance across campus buildings and grounds
  • Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems within scope of role
  • Complete work orders, document repairs, and communicate status to supervisors and campus staff
  • Ensure facilities meet safety, cleanliness, and compliance standards to support a safe learning environment
  • Set up, move, and maintain classroom, dormitory, and training spaces to support program activities
  • Respond to urgent maintenance requests and support after-hours emergencies as assigned
  • Collaborate with facility staff, instructors, and administrators to prioritize student-centered maintenance needs
  • Follow company, OSHA, and campus safety procedures and maintain tools and equipment in good condition
