Maintenance Team Lead

Heartwood Assisted Living Community is seeking a dependable, hands-on Maintenance Team Lead to oversee the day-to-day maintenance operations of our assisted living community. This leadership role is responsible for ensuring a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for our residents while supervising maintenance staff and coordinating building repairs and preventative maintenance.

• Lead and supervise the daily activities of the maintenance team.

• Schedule and prioritize maintenance requests and work orders.

• Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and preventative maintenance on building systems and equipment.

• Troubleshoot plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, painting, and general building maintenance issues.

• Conduct regular inspections to identify safety hazards and maintenance needs.

• Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal safety regulations.

• Coordinate with outside vendors and contractors as needed.

• Maintain inventory of maintenance supplies, tools, and equipment.

• Assist with emergency repairs and respond to after-hours maintenance needs when necessary.

• Support community readiness for Department of Health surveys and other regulatory inspections.

• Promote a clean, safe, and attractive environment for residents, visitors, and staff.

• High school diploma or GED required.

• Previous maintenance experience required, preferably in healthcare, assisted living, senior living, or hospitality.

• Prior supervisory or leadership experience preferred.

• Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general building maintenance.

• Ability to read and complete work orders and maintenance documentation.

• Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.

• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical work, including bending, climbing ladders, and standing for extended periods.

• Valid driver's license preferred.

• Starting pay of $26.00 per hour
