Performs general work related to construction, maintenance, and repair of the Gaming Enterprise Division's (GED) buildings and facilities. This is the first in a series of three (3) classifications. Incumbents are supervised closely and generally do not make independent decisions or judgments.

Duties and Responsibilities (specific areas of responsibility include but are not limited to):

• Performs routine maintenance activities under supervision.
• Performs remodeling jobs including work on interior walls, cabinets, table games, and minor job work orders.
• Secures work areas until repairs can be made, when necessary.
• Performs tasks in compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and codes.
• Works with other team members to complete assigned tasks, as necessary.
• Operates hand and power tools in a safe, efficient manner to accomplish assigned duties.
• Performs mathematical calculations and reads blueprints to fulfill duties, when necessary.
• Maintains assigned work area and equipment in a clean, orderly, and safe condition.
• Lifts and carries ladders; pushes and pulls scaffolds to complete job tasks, when required.
• Responds to team member and guest inquiries and complaints and provides courteous and cordial service.
• Responds to after-hours emergency calls, as needed.
• Performs all functions in accordance with departmental and the GED's policies and procedures.
• Attends scheduled on- and off-site training for skills advancement.
• Completes requests and services promptly and in the allotted time.
• Maintains cleanliness of work areas throughout the shift practicing clean-as-you-go procedures.
• Follows instructions regarding the use of chemicals and supplies; uses as directed.
• Supports and enforces departmental as well as the GED's policies and procedures, and applicable regulatory policies, such as completion of Safety Data Sheets (SDS)
• Turns in found articles in accordance with Facilities and GED policies and procedures.
• Attends periodic departmental and GED meetings; attends professional and personal development training programs.
• Offers warm and sincere welcome/farewell to guests using a guest's name, when possible, and making good eye contact.
• Provides attentive, courteous, and professional service to all guests and team members, striving to always exceed their expectations.
• Answers questions about general property information and amenities.
• Displays a diplomatic, polished, and professional demeanor in the workplace.
• Ensures uniform and personal appearance is clean and professional.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Essential functions of the position:

• Ability to work indoor and outdoor environment and walk on uneven surfaces.
• Ability to Travel/Work at any Casino Del Sol properties.
• Cleans up around buildings, garages, parking lots, trash dumpsters, etc.
• Constantly/Must have bending mobility to stand, walk for extended periods of time; stoop, kneel, twist, grip, crouch, or crawl, and work in cramped or confined spaces.
• Demolishes, frames, hangs drywall/tapes/muds/finishes, plumbs, and repairs acoustical tiles.
• Exposure to chemical/fumes, cleaning agents.
• Follow all safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Maintains and repairs related equipment.
• Monitors inventory and supply levels; procures and inventories supplies, equipment, and materials as necessary or directed.
• Must be able to independently push, pull, and turn a tool car (maximum weight up to 300 pounds) and wear fitted tool belt (maximum weight up to 20 pounds), with or without a reasonable accommodation.
• Must be able to move heavy objects (50 pounds or more) long distances (more than 20 feet), with or without a reasonable accommodation.
• Patches and paints walls.
• Performs skilled maintenance and carpentry tasks which, depending on area of assignment, may include; installing, maintaining, and repairing equipment; performing journey-level repairs.
• Prepares and monitors logs and operational records.
• Performs building inspections to ensure project and operational compliance with internal and external safety regulations.
