Yard Hostler

Reporting to the Operations Supervisor, the Yard Hostler is responsible for ensuring that trailers are moved within our yard in a safe and efficient manner by using a Terminal Tractor. Additionally, they manage the yard, maintain good housekeeping, and enforce yard rules and standards.

• Move trailers safely and efficiently using a Terminal Tractor.
• Manage the yard and maintain good housekeeping practices.
• Enforce yard rules and operational standards.
• Operate Terminal Tractor and other equipment such as PIT as certified.

• Minimum of one year of Yard Hostler operation experience (preferred).
• Prior exposure to CPG and/or Food & Beverage industries (preferred).
• Ability to demonstrate decision making and problem‑solving skills.
• Basic understanding of computer systems and/or warehouse management (WM) systems.
• Fluency in English; additional language skills beneficial.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, sit, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, reach, climb steps/ladder; lift, move, and place up to 75 pounds.
• Exposure to varying temperature and weather conditions.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Travel 0-10%.
• Permanent position.
• Candidate is eligible for benefits.

Base pay $21.00 per hour with a $2 shift differential and a 5% target quarterly bonus. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.

Weekend Days:
Week 1 – Friday to Sunday 5am–5pm, Week 2 – Thursday to Sunday 5am–5pm.
