Position:
Part‑Time Building Manager
Location:
Tucson, AZ
Security Clearance:
Secret (U.S. government required, active and transferable, citizenship required)
- Serve as primary point of contact for all building facilities issues.
- Coordinate and track maintenance requests, repairs, and vendor services.
- Ensure building systems operate safely and efficiently.
- Monitor facility conditions and escalation as needed.
- Manage building schedules, room usage, and shared space coordination.
- Coordinate and conduct facility tours for visitors, partners, and stakeholders.
- Ensure a professional and organized visitor experience.
- Support planning and coordination of building construction or renovation projects.
- Interface with contractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
- Track project progress, timelines, and completion status.
- Identify opportunities to improve facility efficiency, safety, and usability.
- Recommend and support implementation of process or infrastructure improvements.
- Assist in developing long‑term facility improvement plans.
- Act as the central liaison for facilities‑related communication.
- Provide regular updates on building status, issues, and projects.
- Ensure alignment between facility operations and organizational priorities.
- University degree or equivalent experience with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience (or advanced degree with 3 years).
- Experience in manufacturing, operations, or facilities management.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple vendors and competing priorities.
- Basic understanding of building systems and facility operations preferred.
- Comfortable working independently in a fast‑paced environment.
- Active, transferable U.S. government issued security clearance required (Secret).
- U.S. citizenship required.
- Experience working with contractors and vendors in a facilities environment.
- Demonstrated ability to lead continuous improvement initiatives.
- Competitive salary ranging from $86,800 to $165,200.
