Job Summary
The Team Leader 1 Facilities Custodial Supervisor will oversee daily custodial services and personnel. The position requires ensuring facilities are clean, safe, and compliant with regulations.

Security ClearanceU.S. citizenship is required. The role requires obtaining and maintaining an active Secret security clearance from day one.
Responsibilities- Coordinate, direct, and schedule custodial staff and contracted personnel to perform custodial services.
- Maintain professional relationships with site customers, suppliers, and employees.
- Conduct facility walks, quality‑control inspections, safety audits and provide feedback to personnel and customers.
- Supervise staff; hire, train, counsel, and review performance ensuring a competent, motivated team.
- Schedule, prioritize tasks, and ensure adherence to procedures, regulations, and guidelines while minimizing errors and safety risks.
- Review employee timecards for accuracy, verify hours worked, and process PTO in accordance with payroll procedures.
- Monitor absences, sick and vacation days to ensure departmental coverage and customer satisfaction.
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
- Work occasional overtime;
Saturday and Sunday hours may be required. Primary support is for the 2nd shift.
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Mechanical Engineering, Business Administration, Management or a related field and 2 years of relevant facilities experience.
- Computer literacy: operation of word processing, spreadsheets, and internet.
- Demonstrated leadership, organizational, and analytical skills.
- Strong knowledge of custodial best practices, safety rules, regulations, and procedures.
- Knowledge of methods, materials, chemicals, disinfectants, and equipment used in cleaning offices and buildings.
- Knowledge of sanitation and safety measures for operating cleaning and care of equipment and work areas.
- Experience using purchase orders for janitorial supplies and equipment.
- Strong written and oral communication skills and ability to present information and respond to questions from clients, customers and others.
- Ability to train employees in proper departmental practices and procedures, including safety and proper use of tools and equipment.
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment to foster teamwork with both external and internal customers.
- Valid driver’s license.
- U.S. citizenship; able to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
- Bi‑lingual (Spanish) experience working with customers and contract execution.
- Experience working with trade unions.
- Experience in supply ordering and purchase order management with related purchase requisitions.
- Competitive salary range of $68,900–$131,100.
