Primary Function:
Under the direction of the School President and Facilities leadership, the employee is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, sanitation, organization, and daily readiness of the school's gymnasium building and associated athletic spaces. The Employee shall be a minister of the Gospel and Catholic Teaching behaviorally while at work and in his/her personal life, Live in a manner worthy of the call you have received.

• Support the Church's spiritual and pastoral mission and the mission of St. Augustine Catholic High School.
• Shall abide by Catholic principles in the employee’s professional and private life and shall govern his/her professional and private life in strict accordance with Catholic morals and principles to demonstrate complete adherence to Catholic moral strictures.
• Support the Church’s spiritual and pastoral mission
• Maintain the gymnasium and athletic facility to established cleanliness standards
• Clean and maintain the gymnasium floor/court
• Clean and maintain bleachers
• Clean and maintain boys' and girls' locker rooms
• Clean and maintain weight room

  Clean and maintain gym lobby and restrooms
• Clean and maintain MPR
• Clean and maintain snack bar areas
• Empty trash and maintain appropriate waste disposal procedures
• Restock restroom, custodial, and other assigned supplies
• Complete daily cleaning prior to the start of the school day
• Inspect the gym and athletic facility for cleanliness, safety, and readiness
• Report maintenance, safety, or facility concerns immediately
• Assist with preparation and setup for athletic events
• Assist with post-event cleanup when assigned
• Maintain equipment, tools, and custodial supplies
• Maintain security of the gymnasium, equipment, and supplies
• Work collaboratively with the Athletic Department and Facilities team
• Comply with safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requires coordination and manual dexterity; normal mental and visual ability; ability to lift 45lbs as required in a normal custodial environment.

Walking, sitting, standing, stooping, reaching, talking, handling, hearing, carrying, and climbing ladders.

• Must have a working knowledge of and a strong commitment to the mission of the Diocese and Catholic Church; must be in full communion with the Catholic Church
• Previous custodial, janitorial, athletic facility, or similar experience preferred
• Strong attention to detail and pride in work
• Ability to work independently and complete recurring responsibilities without constant supervision
• Ability to work early morning hours consistently
• Ability to maintain a high standard of cleanliness in a heavily used athletic facility
• Professional and respectful communication
• Reliable and punctual
• Safety conscious and able to properly use custodial equipment

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred
• Previous custodial, janitorial, or athletic facility experience preferred
