Position:
Maintains the premises of Parks Facilities, keeping them clean and orderly under direct supervision.
Under direct supervision, maintains the premises of Parks Facilities and ensures they remain clean and orderly by performing the following duties:
Responsibilities- Clean and maintain Parks Facilities.
- Use cleaning tools and other products to create a clean and healthy environment.
- Keep restrooms clean and stocked with supplies.
- Clean and polish windows, walls, and hardware using prepared cleaning agents.
- Sweep and mop floors as needed.
- Clean up spills and mop floors dry.
- Pick up trash in public areas.
- Perform snow removal, sand bagging, and cleaning of properties.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Knowledge of common practices, methods, tools and materials used in basic building maintenance and grounds keeping; knowledge of hazards and safety precautions; institutional or industrial cleaning methods; departmental policies and procedures.
- Skill in using various cleaning supplies and equipment, evaluating needs and requirements.
- Ability to plan, organize, prioritize, and manage time effectively; handle work under time constraints.
- Ability to work in hot and humid surroundings; maintain the physical stamina necessary for manual labor; work varied shifts; understand and apply workplace and job site safety rules.
Knowledge of Inventory Control software, Word Processing software, and Internet software.
Supervisory ResponsibilitiesThis job has no supervisory responsibilities.
Education and/or ExperienceLess than a high school education; or up to one‑month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers and employees of the organization.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals; compute rate, ratio, and percent; draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning AbilityApply common sense to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form; handle problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations- Valid Oklahoma Driver’s License possessed for at least 6 months.
- Defensive Driving with Tulsa County within 6 months of hiring.
Requires a stationary position, movement, use of hands and arms, handling of objects up to 100 pounds, occasionally more; visual abilities including close, color, distance, peripheral, and depth perception.
Work EnvironmentExposure to moving mechanical parts, high places, outdoor weather conditions; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; vibration; wet or humid conditions; extreme cold and heat; risk of electrical shock; noise level usually loud.
