Maintenance Technician - HVAC 1st Shift

Job Summary

Zoetis, the world’s largest manufacturer and supplier of animal pharmaceuticals, seeks a Maintenance Technician to perform preventive and corrective maintenance on facility equipment. The role will work 1st Shift (7:00am–3:30pm) with possible overtime.

• Perform preventive maintenance, diagnosing issues, ordering parts, and making repairs on Industrial HVAC, plumbing, utilities, and other facility equipment.
• Complete emergency call‑in repairs as required.
• Plan and execute preventive maintenance plans (PMs), repairs, and updates to maintain peak equipment efficiency.
• Use data to drive decision making and focus on permanent fixes.
• Understand and utilize cGMP, and comply with regulatory requirements (APHIS, VMD, OSHA) when completing paperwork such as work orders, SOPs, and equipment logbooks.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

• High school diploma or GED.
• Technical aptitude.
• Associate degree in Electro‑Mechanical or HVAC preferred.
• Relevant experience in pharmaceutical or food manufacturing preferred.
• Experience/training in electrical, mechanical, plumbing, or utilities trades.
• Proficiency with HVAC equipment and operating functions desired.
• Strong troubleshooting skills for electrical power, control circuits, fans, motors, bearings, valves, piping, steam, and condensate principles.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50lbs, work in a hot, cold, noisy, or confined space, and use hand & power tools.
• Valid driver’s license may be required.

Work in a variety of laboratory, farm, and industrial environments using approved procedures such as Lockout/Tagout, confined space, line break, right‑to‑know, and PPE.
