• Operate painting equipment and auxiliary equipment.
• Test and mix paint as required.
• Keep paint pots supplied with paint of correct quality.
• Start up and shut down equipment as required.
• Observe rods on conveyors as they pass through the unit, culling out crooked rods.
• Keep rods separated and packaged for each separate size and grade. Paint identification color on protectors.
• Responsible for quality and quantity of work helpers.
• Obtain reasonable production with minimum supervision.
• Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly manner.
• Inform supervisor of any malfunction of equipment.

• Two‑year technical degree or equivalent education and/or experience.
• Valid driver’s license in state of residence required.

• Must be able to lift and carry 50 lbs regularly, and 100 lbs occasionally.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
• Must regularly talk or hear.
• Must frequently use hands to finger, handle, feel and reach with hands and arms.
• Must occasionally walk in customer field locations which may include inclines, uneven surfaces, and a variety of weather conditions.
• Must regularly bend, stoop, crawl, lay down, twist and push.
• Must wear appropriate personal protective equipment including but not limited to shoes/boots, hard hats, or respirators.
