Position ObjectiveThe Maintenance Technician will perform general maintenance and repair work throughout our medical clinic. The maintenance technician will help maintain a safe, clean, and functional environment for patients, staff, and visitors by addressing routine maintenance issues, performing minor repairs, and assist with coordinating outside contractors when necessary.
Essential Functions- Perform routine maintenance and repairs throughout the clinic.
- Troubleshoot and repair basic plumbing issues, including faucets, toilets, and drains.
- Perform minor electrical repairs, such as replacing outlets, switches, and light fixtures.
- Perform minor painting, touch‑up work, wall repairs, and surface maintenance to keep the clinic clean, professional, and well‑maintained.
- Conduct seasonal maintenance, including HVAC filter changes, weatherproofing, and exterior upkeep.
- Assemble, install, and repair furniture, fixtures, and equipment.
- Monitor facility conditions and identify maintenance needs.
- Ensure maintenance work is completed safely and in compliance with applicable regulations.
- Recommend outside vendors and contractors when necessary.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
This role has no supervisory responsibility.
Work EnvironmentThis position is based in a healthcare setting. Regular walking within the clinic is required, along with direct interaction with patients, some of whom may have contagious illnesses.
Physical DemandsThis role is active and physically engaging. Requirements include:
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, and climbing.
- Ability to lift or move items over 20 pounds.
- Reaching above, at, and below desk height.
- Manual dexterity to operate tools and equipment safely.
- Part‑time position, 20 hours per week.
- Seasonal and emergency maintenance availability preferred.
