Building Maintenance, Maintenance Technician / Mechanic, Facility Maintenance
Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance as requested by the manager.
- Complete and return work orders promptly.
- Turn vacant units to rent‑ready condition.
- Respond to after‑hours maintenance emergencies as scheduled by manager.
- Order parts and supplies as needed and pick them up if necessary.
- Perform preventive maintenance for winter and summer months.
- Perform any other duty assigned by the manager.

Education & Employment:
High school diploma or equivalency with experience in maintenance for repairs needed in apartments.
Language
Skills:
Ability to read instructions and work orders, analyze & interpret general business periodicals, technical procedures, or government regulations. Ability to write reports. Ability to effectively present information & respond to questions from staff & residents.
Mathematical
Skills:
Ability to work with mathematical concepts and apply fractions, percentages, ratios, & proportions to practical situations.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to solve practical problems & deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations with limited standardization. Ability to interpret various instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Physical Demands:
The employee is occasionally required to walk, sit, talk & hear. The employee must occasionally lift & or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment:
The property is spread out and may require some heavy walking. The noise level in the workplace is normal to the surroundings of the home environment.

Skills:
Must be able to converse with and handle any confrontations with the residents, other staff members, and the public.
