We are seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead maintenance operations in a manufacturing environment. This opportunity is ideal for an experienced Maintenance Supervisor or a high-performing Maintenance Lead who is ready to take the next step into a leadership role.
The successful candidate will possess strong electro-mechanical troubleshooting skills, hands-on PLC experience, and a proven ability to lead, develop, and support maintenance personnel. This role is responsible for supervising a team of four direct reports while driving equipment reliability, maintenance excellence, and continuous improvement initiatives throughout the facility.
Key Responsibilities- Lead, coach, develop, and support a team of four maintenance technicians.
- Manage daily maintenance activities to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operation of manufacturing equipment.
- Drive a proactive maintenance culture through effective preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
- Plan, schedule, and oversee PM activities to maximize equipment uptime and extend asset life.
- Monitor maintenance metrics and implement corrective actions to improve performance and reduce downtime.
- Troubleshoot and support PLC-controlled production equipment and automated systems.
- Support robotics and automation equipment, including troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
- Provide technical guidance for electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and control system issues.
- Partner with operations, engineering, and production teams to improve equipment reliability and plant performance.
- Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and company standards.
- 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Previous supervisory, lead, or team leadership experience with demonstrated success developing employees.
- Strong electro-mechanical maintenance background.
- Experience troubleshooting and supporting PLC-based equipment.
- Proven experience managing and improving preventive maintenance programs.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, motors, drives, controls, hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical equipment.
- Ability to lead, motivate, and develop a maintenance team.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
- Experience with industrial robotics and automated manufacturing systems.
- Knowledge of Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or similar PLC platforms.
- Experience with CMMS systems and maintenance planning.
- Experience using reliability-centered maintenance or continuous improvement methodologies.
