Pay
Starting Pay: $18.00 per hour plus additional shift differential for evenings, nights and weekends.

RequirementsMust have at least 12 months of consecutive work history with one employer and no additional job gaps in employment greater than 6 months in the past 36 months. If applicant has been laid off or providing child or elder care, the employment gap will be increased to 18 months. Previous work history will not apply to applicants who have been full time students consecutively for the last 36 months.
Rehire criteria is a minimum waiting period of 180 days. Rehire Rule of no more than 3 times worked at Cobb/Tyson Foods.
This position is responsible for controlling rodent, insect, bird and other pest populations that pose a biosecurity risk to the farm by performing all essential duties. Other duties may be assigned.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Controls rodent, bird, and insect activity by replacing used bait with fresh bait in external bait stations in all areas of the farm and recording rodent activity on checklist, removing bird nests and installing barriers to prevent the building of new nests, and applying insecticides as recommended per manufacturer label in office and supply holding area (70%)
- Run the mower, weedeater, and brush hog as needed to help maintain the farm. (20%)
- Safely operate a the feed truck and or the propane truck. (10%)
Must be willing to achieve and maintain a respirator certification for flock depopeulation team. TMs must remain clean shaven during all scheduled work hours.
Other duties, responsibilities, and activities- Assists contractor vehicles with entrance to farm
- Operates a high pressure and regular water hose
- Maintains vehicle by checking fluid levels, filters, tire pressure, and clean/disinfect to remove debris
- Maintains foot pans and hand sanitizer
- Maintains a clean and organized work area.
The jobsite is a biosecure environment which requires showering, changing clothing and footwear before entering the facility. Appropriate clothing and footwear are provided by the Company. No jewelry may be worn on the jobsite except for medical and body piercings covered by appropriate clothing. Must be willing to sign an agreement to avoid any avian species (chickens, ducks, birds, etc.). Must be willing to sign and abide by the Company Biosecurity and Company Animal Welfare Guidelines.

The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation. Physical:
Must use safe lifting techniques. Must regularly lift and/or move items such as vehicle parts, fan motors, tools weighing up to 50 pounds.
