Maintenance Technician

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of plant equipment and facility systems through preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance. This role provides hands‑on mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation support; troubleshoots and repairs equipment issues; and partners with Operations, Engineering, and contractors to improve plant reliability, safety, and performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work Schedule:

    Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM during training. After training, hours may shift to 10:00 AM – 6:30 PM and on‑call weekend coverage may be required based on business needs.
  • Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on plant equipment and facility systems.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical, electrical (24V–480V), and instrumentation issues.
  • Maintain pumps, valves, piping, rotating equipment, motors, conveyors, control panels, sensors, and control systems.
  • Calibrate instruments, conduct equipment inspections, and utilize diagnostic tools to ensure optimal performance.
  • Execute maintenance work orders and maintain accurate records in CMMS systems (preferably SAP).
  • Support equipment installations, facility upgrades, startups, and commissioning activities.
  • Monitor equipment performance and implement improvements that increase reliability, reduce downtime, and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Maintain spare parts inventories and assist with sourcing critical replacement components.
  • Follow all safety procedures, including LOTO, OSHA requirements, and Process Safety Management (PSM) practices.
  • Participate in root cause analysis, continuous improvement initiatives, development of maintenance procedures, and cross‑functional problem‑solving efforts.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, contractors, and vendors to resolve equipment issues and support plant objectives.
  • Support colleagues and respond to stakeholder requests in a timely, professional manner.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and records in line with policies and procedures.
  • Escalate issues, risks, and deviations promptly to supervisor and follow through on corrective actions.
Qualifications
Required
  • Minimum 2 years of industrial maintenance experience.
Preferred
  • Associates degree or technical certification in Electrical, Mechanical, Instrumentation, Electronics, or related field.
  • 5+ years of manufacturing, chemical, or industrial maintenance experience.
  • Welding and/or machining experience.
