Custodial Maintenance Lead

The Custodial Maintenance Lead maintains the highest level of cleanliness in the park, conducts quality inspections of assigned areas, and follows up on opportunities to improve quality standards. This position is responsible for training, coaching and enforcing policies and procedures for Custodial Maintenance Host. They maintain a high level of guest engagement at their locations and are responsible for assisting with daily scheduling of team members.

They maintain a high level of guest engagement at their locations and are responsible for assisting with daily scheduling of team members.

• Conduct all activities in alignment with principles and integrity of GGP Parks.
• Oversee daily custodial work, assign work, set priorities while maintaining a high standard of safety and cleanliness, and follows up to ensure coordination and completion of assigned tasks.
• Mentor and develop the team in the interest of preparing them for daily operation.
• Organize and lead start-up meetings effectively and timely.
• Communicate professionally and effectively with team members and guests.
• Hold Team Members and self-accountable for guest service/engagement, department policies and procedures.
• Recognize and resolve conflicts in a timely manner. Communicate issues with leadership on a daily basis.
• Assist with maintaining inventory with TMA and controlling expenses.
• Continuously improves operational execution through attention to detail and adherence to all operating standards and procedures.
• Train staff in the proper use of custodial equipment and supplies; maintains equipment and supplies in good working condition; observes safe work methods and makes appropriate use of related safety equipment as required.
• Participate in cross training and support of Facilities Team objectives
• Ensure a positive working relationship with our team members, other support teams and our guests.
• Maintain area cleanliness to include sweeping pathways, picking up trash and emptying trashcans.
• Ensure cleanup before and after events.
• Submit work orders in TMA for needed repairs.
• Assist with Host annual competencies checklist.
• Encourage and promote teamwork.
• Open and close park in accordance with established procedures.
• Assist with custodial needs and furniture or equipment setups and coordinates special work as required.
• Accurately completes daily paperwork, notes and spreadsheets. Timely reports maintenance issues in restrooms and to company equipment.
• Lead the daily activities of the Custodial Team to include appropriate cleaning of all park areas.
• Assist with implementation and monitoring of programs that assure a safe work environment.
• Ensure the proper maintenance of all equipment; communicate needs for repair and/or replacement of used and damaged equipment.
• Operate equipment such as pressure washers, compactors, park vehicles, hoses, etc.
• Identify and implement effective course of action to complete assigned work.
• Prepare for, respond to, and recover from biohazards in the work environment.
• Organize own work tasks, set priorities, and meet critical time deadlines.
• Continually looks for ways to improve overall efficiency of operations and adjust needs based on attendance levels, operating needs and other variables.
