About the Role: The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for the day‑to‑day leadership of the maintenance team. They prioritize and execute facility reliability activities to support the facility’s goals, lead continuous improvement of maintenance programs, and support plant key performance indicators.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and assign maintenance department activities to Maintenance Technicians daily.
  • Liaise with production staff and other departments to coordinate repair work, statutory safety inspections, and supply of new plant equipment with production schedules.
  • Coordinate, participate, and support troubleshooting breakdowns, equipment and process root cause analysis, and preventive maintenance activities.
  • Supervise assembly and disassembly of machines for repairs, inspections, or replacements.
  • Lead and support the execution of the maintenance program activities and related systems (ECP’s, work orders, inventory sheets).
  • Lead spare parts and storeroom organization, management, and controls program.
  • Participate in the Process Safety Management program.
  • Supervise and ensure adherence to lockout/tagout procedures per company policy.
  • Assist the EHS Manager with management of the plant’s hazardous materials/hazardous waste program.
  • Coordinate with outside vendors for maintenance support and repair of plant equipment.
  • Coordinate and manage contractor activities.
  • Maintain the electrical safety program for the plant.
  • Lead maintenance department support in the facility’s Lean (SQDCCP) and continuous improvement activities.
  • Supervise team to explore and implement continuous improvement/automation activities.
  • Champion 5’s in the Maintenance department.
  • Perform engineering review of proposed new equipment designs to assess reliability, ease of maintenance, and availability of replacement parts.
  • Participate in the installation and commissioning of new equipment.
  • Participate in monthly maintenance conference calls and report on plant activities.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma with five or more years’ experience in an industrial environment as a maintenance supervisor.
  • Certifications in mechanical/industrial fields (electrician, millwright, welding, etc.) preferred.
  • Experience with preventive maintenance on industrial equipment.
  • Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics, including systems, reservoirs, pumps, valves, sensors, cylinders, piping, tubing, hoses, switches, and motors.
  • Electrical experience with voltages from 24 V to 480 V.
  • Ability to use drawings and diagrams (electrical, piping, PID loops) to identify failures and speed up repairs.
  • Experience with predictive technologies such as vibration analysis, thermography, ultrasound equipment, and precision alignment is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed.
  • Familiarity with Total Productive Maintenance principles.
  • Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems.
  • Familiarity with 5S systems.
  • Familiarity with Maintenance Key Performance Indicators and their use in improvement activities.
  • Safety‑conscious team player.
  • Experience as a cross‑functional team member in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to drive a forklift.
  • Ability to walk, stand, or sit for long periods.
Additional Requirements
  • Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and use Amrize‑approved personal protection equipment. For respirator use, employees must be clean‑shaven where the seal contacts the face to pass qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
