Position Title
Camp Host Murtaugh Lake Park – Seasonal position from April 15 to October 1, 2026
Work ScheduleWednesday a.m. thru Sunday p.m. with Monday and Tuesday off
Compensation & BenefitsWe pay $750.00 per month (pro-rated for partial months). Twin Falls County supplies a cell phone, a cellular tablet, and provides water, power, propane, and waste services for the camp host while staying in the RV Park.
Job DescriptionThe Seasonal Camp Host is onsite to greet campers, answer questions, provide information regarding the RV Park, check campers into RV sites, assist the Parks Department with reservations and maintenance, and notify law enforcement and the Parks Director of any violations of law occurring on County Property.
Duties / Responsibilities- Represent Twin Falls County Parks and Waterways in an appropriate manner in appearance and attitude.
- Answer questions, provide information and assistance to visitors and serve as liaison between campers and county.
- Maintain good communication skills.
- Abide by and oversee campground rules and regulations.
- Check campers into campground and/or assist campers with registration and payment needs.
- Perform minor campground maintenance as needed under the direction of Parks and Waterways staff or the Director.
- Notify Twin Falls County Sheriff’s Department of all law violations witnessed on county property.
- Collect data on any accidents that may occur and report to the Twin Falls County Parks and Waterways Director.
- Monitor RV Park for payment compliance of campers.
- Past experience with camp host positions would be preferred.
- Provide own self‑contained RV to live in on site during scheduled shifts.
- Ability to walk or move over uneven terrain, use walkways, and check stationary and floating docks.
- Have a valid driver’s license.
- Basic iPhone and iPad knowledge.
- Good public relations skills.
- Ability to enforce rules and regulations and deal with difficult situations with the general public.
- Ability to work with Parks lead and staff, as well as communicate and accept directions from the Administrative Assistant and Director.
Temporary, Seasonal, and Reserve Deputy positions may or may not qualify for health insurance and retirement, depending on hours worked.
