Facilities Staff - Custodian

Job Summary

Innovation Academy Charter School seeks a custodian for a full-time position, starting immediately.

• Cleaning the facilities, including trash removal, floor cleaning, general cleaning, and sanitizing
• Setting up the school and miscellaneous events, and performing other related duties
• Addressing light maintenance issues as needed
• Responding to building‑related issues during off hours as needed
• Managing student drop off and pick up as directed

• Ability to work independently and with colleagues on assignments
• Detail‑oriented and proactive in problem solving with an eye for making improvements throughout the school campus
• Ability to work well with individuals from many diverse backgrounds and professions, as well as the student body
• Physical ability to move and carry heavy loads; ability to climb stairs and ladders

• Prior work experience preferred
• Flexible schedule with an ability to work evenings and weekends if needed
• High School diploma or equivalent preferred
• Demonstrated interpersonal skills to relate well with students, staff, administration, parents, and the community
• Ability to pass a State employee background check (CORI/SAFIS)
• 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday; overtime may be available
• Pay commensurate with experience
