Role Snapshot As a Level I mechanic, you’ll execute routine PMs, support rapid troubleshooting, and learn advanced procedures from senior mechanics and engineering. You’ll follow SOPs/DOPs, practice GDP, and contribute to department and site goals while providing responsive service to internal customers in production, quality, and engineering.

What You’ll DoFollow all site safety rules and procedures.

Adhere to SOPs/DOPs; document PMs and repairs using GDP.Meet PM due dates and respond quickly to repair requests.

Escalate major equipment issues to senior mechanics, management, and/or engineering.

Maintain clean, organized production and shop areas after work is complete.

Spot CI opportunities and help implement improvements.

Record equipment downtime and repairs to identify recurring issues.

Collaborate with the team to reach department/site objectives.

Deliver excellent customer service to internal partners.

Align with Zoetis standards, guidelines, and values.

Required Qualifications Hands-on experience in equipment repair or fabrication.

Mechanical and minor electrical troubleshooting; able to use instruments like multimeters.

Familiarity with automation (robotic arms, PLCs).Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word.

Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication.

Willingness to learn new equipment, repair techniques, software, systems, and procedures.

Preferred Qualifications Introductory CMMS knowledge.

Ability to read mechanical drawings and electrical/pneumatic schematics.

Background in an FDA-regulated setting.

Basic Solid Works familiarity.

Education & Experience High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or degree preferred.
1–3 years of hands-on maintenance experience.

Physical & Scheduling Requirements Routinely lift/move up to 50 lbs; occasionally up to 100 lbs with assistance.

PPE (e.g., protective eyewear, protective-toe shoes, respirators) may be required per area procedures.

Reliable attendance and the ability to work the scheduled shift, including overtime, are essential job functions.
