The Rectory Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming environment in the rectory. This position offers flexible hours and involves routine cleaning tasks to support the comfort and well-being of clergy and staff.
Job Responsibilities- Perform general cleaning duties including dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping all floors.
- Clean and sanitize bathrooms and kitchen regularly.
- Maintain tidiness and organization of all living and common areas within the rectory.
- Dispose of trash and recycling appropriately.
- Monitor cleaning supplies and notify supervisor when replenishment is needed.
- Ensure a welcoming, clean, and comfortable environment for clergy and staff.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety concerns to the appropriate personnel.
- Follow appropriate cleaning and sanitation procedures, especially in shared spaces.
- Prior experience in housekeeping, janitorial work, or a similar role preferred.
- Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
- Trustworthy, reliable, and respectful of privacy.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Familiarity with cleaning products and safe usage practices.
