Job Title: Industrial Maintenance Supervisor

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM, with mandatory overtime as needed

Reports To: Maintenance Manager

The Maintenance Supervisor at Guardian West plays a key leadership role in ensuring the reliability, efficiency, and safety of all facility operations. This position is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing the installation, maintenance, and repair of all machinery, equipment, and facility systems—including building and property upkeep.

In this role, the Maintenance Supervisor manages a team of hourly maintenance personnel, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure work is completed safely, effectively, and in compliance with company policies and procedures.

The Supervisor balances hands-on technical work with leadership responsibilities, actively working alongside the team to troubleshoot issues, complete repairs, and keep production running smoothly.

• Lead the shift maintenance team, making timely decisions during mechanical breakdowns, ensuring focus on priorities, managing short-term plans, and keeping appropriate authorities informed.
• Thr  in a fast-paced, team-driven environment with strong communication skills and a positive, can-do attitude.
• Evaluate and prioritize maintenance requests, ensure materials are available
• Schedule manpower, manage vacations/leave, and maintain overtime records
• Coordinate (with internal team and external contractors) and perform installation, repair, and preventative maintenance of machinery, equipment, building systems, and grounds. Includes electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and minor construction work
• Inspect facilities for housekeeping and safety, address safety concerns, maintain alarms and systems, and ensure compliance with company policies and regulations
• Maintain stock of spare parts, tools, manuals, warranties, and supplies.
• Operate computerized maintenance systems, preparing shift/daily/weekly and monthly reports, update project files, drawings, and department databases
• Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematics, and engineering instructions.
• Skilled in troubleshooting and repairing all aspects of electrical maintenance such as; automation equipment, wiring systems, airlines, power supplies, AC/DC motors, and control cabinets.
• Oversee contractors for construction, renovations, and updates. Support project managers and consultants with documentation, recordkeeping, and compliance
• Manage landscaping, snow removal, painting, and overall property aesthetics to ensure a safe and professional environment
• Remain on call 24/7 as required
• Be knowledgeable in the use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Shift is 8 hours. May work overtime up to 10-12 hours. Two 10-minute breaks/ shift and 20-minute meal break.

Employees get paid the entire time they are clocked in and do not clock out for breaks, if taken on campus!

• 3+ years of electrical maintenance experience (industrial experience preferred)
• Must hold valid driver’s licenses to drive company vehicles
• Use of basic hand tools such as wrenches and pliers (employees provide all their own tools)
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

• Must be able to perform the physical functions of the position, including but not limited to Lift up to 50+ lbs, Ability to stand, walk, use hands, reach above head and below shoulder level for 8+hours a day
• Must be able to see color vision, specifically the ability to perceive a wide range of colors accurately and distinguish minimal variations in color.
• Ability to work in a non- climate-controlled environment
• Must pass annual pulmonary function testing and respirator physical for approval to use negative pressure masks…
