Maintenance Assistant

Maintenance Assistant Silvercrest of Urbana | Urbana, Ohio

Silvercrest of Urbana is looking for a dependable and hardworking Maintenance Assistant to join our team. This position supports the Maintenance Director in keeping the facility safe, clean, functional, and comfortable for our residents, staff, and visitors.

• Assist with routine building and equipment maintenance.
• Complete general repairs and upkeep throughout the facility.
• Help maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for residents.
• Assist with preventative maintenance tasks and inspections.
• Perform basic painting, plumbing, carpentry, electrical, and other general maintenance tasks as appropriate.
• Respond to maintenance requests in a timely manner.
• Assist with groundskeeping, seasonal upkeep, and snow/ice removal as needed.
• Help maintain maintenance records, supplies, and equipment.
• Follow all facility safety procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Support the Maintenance Director with projects and other assigned duties.

• Previous maintenance, construction, handyman, or related experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of building maintenance and repair.
• Reliable, dependable, and able to work independently.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff.
• Ability to safely lift, carry, and move equipment and supplies.
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
