General Purpose
Performs daily maintenance of baseball fields.
Reporting RelationshipsSupervision received:
Works under the immediate direction of the Field Maintenance Supervisor and general supervision of the Sports & Aquatic Director.
Performing hands-on tasks including operation of 4-wheeler; raking, digging and moving earth and heavy objects; laying out bases and chalk lines; cleaning restrooms; picking up trash; other.
Communicating maintenance and personnel issues to the Field Maintenance Supervisor in a clear and timely manner.
Flexibility to work some evenings and weekends, with notice.
Minimum Qualifications- Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors, employees, and the public.
- Decision making capabilities.
- Ability to work hard in physically challenging conditions.
- Grounds maintenance experience
- Knowledge of Baseball / Softball
- Familiarity with hand tools
Tasks may entail muscular strain, including walking, standing, stooping, sitting, reaching, and lifting – all in 100+ degree heat. Talking, hearing, and seeing are essential to performing job requirements. Common eye, hand, and finger dexterity is required for most essential functions.
