Job Overview
We are looking for a Mechanic to work in our Community Health Center in southeastern Utah. Our clinic is a dynamic place to work, practice, and grow. We have four primary care health centers and deliver integrated services including behavioral health, pharmacy, dental, specialty referrals, chronic disease management, health education, emergency medical services, non‑emergency medical transportation, and much more.

- Daily maintenance on fleet vehicles, trailers, UTVs, and ambulances
- Running diagnostic tests on vehicles
- Analyzing diagnostic test results
- Loading, hauling, and transporting vehicles
- Checking vehicle lighting systems
- Test‑driving vehicles to gauge performance
- Performing preventative maintenance on all fleet vehicles
- Maintaining detailed electronic records of serviced vehicles and generating an annual report for budget review
- Adhering to an inspection procedure checklist and ensuring fleet vehicles meet state and local inspection requirements
- Maintaining vehicle parts inventory
- Ensuring the cleanliness of the shop to avoid hazardous worksite conditions
- Reporting daily updates and changes to Fleet Management staff
- Troubleshooting emergency vehicle components such as ambulance and emergency response vehicles
- Knowledge of AC, cooling, and heating systems (a must)
- A.S.E. certification is advantageous; completion required within 6 months of hire
- Valid driver’s license
- Advanced knowledge of gasoline and diesel engine components
- Good IT and diagnostic skills
- Physically fit and able to lift up to 120 pounds
- Proficiency with maintenance and repair tools
- Attention to detail
- Good interpersonal skills
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Good organizational skills
- MMR (measles, rubella, mumps) – documentation of two MMR vaccines OR MMR titers
- Complete hepatitis B vaccine series (3 doses) with proof of titers or a declination signed upon arrival
- Proof of up‑to‑date PPD skin testing (or, if previously negative, proof of positive PPD with recent chest X‑ray and treatment history)
- Tetanus, diphtheria, and pertussis (Tdap)
- Varicella titers or history of varicella or varicella immunization series
- Influenza vaccine for the current year
- COVID‑19 vaccine
- Any other vaccinations as requested
