Lead Janitor

Full Time, Thursday to Sunday roll with four 10‑hour shifts.

This is Full Time, Thursday to Sunday, four 10’s from 6am to 4:30pm.

• Execute janitorial duties at HAFB to include, but not limited to, cleaning restrooms, sweeping/mopping floors, vacuuming assigned areas, high and low dusting, and emptying trash.
• Assist in transporting crews to assigned work areas daily.
• Perform a specific designated task – i.e. train, floor scheduler, supervise swing or 4x10 shift.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

• May perform supervisory duties in the absence of their supervisor.
• Conduct quality inspections on janitorial workers.

• High school diploma or general equivalency degree (GED) preferred.
• Two years' prior custodial experience required.
• Valid driver's license and/or access to reliable transportation to perform work-related travel required. Eligible drivers must have a good motor vehicle record (MVR).
• Ability to pass and maintain clearance for the HAFB background check.

• Must be able to communicate verbally and written in English.
• Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
• Must be familiar with HAFB building locations.
• Must be familiar with work assigned for shift to be completed.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is working inside buildings and occasionally exposed to weather if walking between work sites. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet unless working on the flightline where noise level is moderate.
