- L ead complex maintenance, remodeling, and construction projects in occupied healthcare spaces.
- Perform advanced work across multiple trades (carpentry, drywall, flooring, ceilings, doors, finishes).
- Interpret construction drawings, specifications, and scope documents.
- Coordinate work with clinical staff, infection control, and facilities leadership.
- Ensure compliance with hospital safety standards, ICRA requirements, and applicable codes.
- Mentor and guide Maintenance/Construction Worker 2 and 3 staff.
- Serve as lead responder for urgent repairs related to building structure and finishes.
- Inspect completed work for quality, safety, and compliance.
- Participate in on-call rotation and respond to facility emergencies as required.
- Advanced knowledge of commercial construction and hospital maintenance practices.
- 8+ years of maintenance or construction experience (healthcare preferred).
- Demonstrated leadership or lead-worker experience.
- Trade certifications or specialized training preferred.
- System Maintenance: Schedule, track, and document regular inspections and testing for fire alarms, smoke detectors, automated sprinklers, and emergency exit lighting, elevators, etc.
- Interim Life Safety Measures (ILSM): Implement and monitor necessary safety mitigations during active facility construction, renovation, or equipment downtime.
- Drills and Training: Design and execute routine fire drills, evacuate training exercises, and disaster preparedness courses for healthcare staff.
- Incident Investigation: Act as the primary investigator for workplace safety accidents, electrical failures, hazards, or near-miss events to determine root causes.
- Audit Readiness: Collect, manage, and file exhaustive physical safety logs to provide to state and national healthcare inspectors during unannounced facility surveys.
- Ensures that appearance and personal conduct are professional at all times.
- Excellent attendance record.

- Works at maintaining a good rapport and a cooperative working relationship with physicians,administration, and staff.
- Represents the organization in a positive and professional manner in the community.
- Maintains patient confidentiality at all times.
- Complies with all organizational policies regarding ethical business practices.
Yes . Some travel required to outreach clinics and Vernal site for various insp.
