Maintenance Technician

Job Summary

The Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining safe, functional, and efficient building operations across multiple facilities. This role performs hands‑on building maintenance, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and infrastructure support within warehouse and manufacturing environments. The ideal candidate will have experience with general building systems, repairs, and facility support operations in an industrial setting.

• Perform general facility maintenance including lighting, minor electrical work, plumbing repairs, and basic building repairs.
• Support preventative maintenance activities for building systems and facility equipment.
• Experience with Programmable Logic Controller systems required, including ability to troubleshoot automation issues, read ladder logic, and support secondary operations equipment.
• Conduct routine inspections of building conditions and identify maintenance or safety concerns proactively.
• Maintain warehouse infrastructure including racking, workstations, office setups, and facility layout changes.
• Assist with installation and relocation of desks, fixtures, shelving, and equipment.
• Coordinate with external vendors for specialized repairs, maintenance, and facility services.
• Troubleshoot and resolve general maintenance issues in a timely manner.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, safety procedures, and company policies.
• Maintain organized maintenance records and communicate completed work as needed.
• Respond to daily maintenance requests across assigned facilities.
• Support general facility appearance and operational readiness.
• Follow all safety, housekeeping and company policies and procedures.
• Coordinate and maintain all job responsibilities in a continuous and flexible manner and perform other related duties and job assignments as required.

Education and/or Experience

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 2–5 years of facilities maintenance, building maintenance, or industrial maintenance experience required.
• Experience working in warehouse, manufacturing, or industrial environments strongly preferred.
• Basic knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and building systems.
• Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment.
• Strong troubleshooting and hands‑on problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Reliable attendance and dependable work ethic.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, talk, hear, and walk. Frequently climb, bend, squat, reach, twist/turn and lift up to 50 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include ability to adjust focus.
