What this job involves: As a Utility Engineer at JLL, you''ll play a pivotal role in optimizing building performance and energy efficiency across our portfolio of commercial properties. You''ll collaborate with facility management teams, clients, and vendors to design, implement, and maintain utility systems that drive operational excellence and sustainability. This role combines technical expertise with strategic thinking to analyze energy consumption, develop cost-saving initiatives, and ensure regulatory compliance.

You''ll partner with cross-functional teams locally and globally to deliver innovative solutions that support our clients'' operations.

• Performs inspections and repairs to assigned property interior and exterior areas, including walls and flooring, installed fixtures, roofing, lighting, etc.
• Performs repairs, inspections and replacements in areas such as automated doors, office furniture/space, lighting, flooring, plumbing and sewer maintenance, toilet facilities, minor construction, patch and paint, air registers, roof leak response, and other items as requested.
• Complies with safety procedures, maintains good housekeeping, and identifies safety hazards to propose elimination methods.
• Ensures site equipment is maintained in an energy-efficient, safe manner and tracks past operating experiences to minimize downtime.
• Maintains good facility relations through prompt and courteous response to facility requests within guidelines by JLL and the client.
• Assists the building engineering team in protecting and improving the value of the client''s assets and ensures building systems perform as intended.
• Monitors the quality of maintenance work performed by outside contractors.
• Assists the operations team in maintenance and repair of building and equipment as directed.
• Maintains GMP training qualifications to ensure site compliance standards.

• Must join Local 39 Stationary Engineers Union
• Demonstrates proper use and care of tools and instruments
• Works safely, submits near-miss/good-catch reports, and conducts safety chats prior to work
• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2+ years of experience in building engineering with a strong background in machinery, plumbing, equipment repair and maintenance
• Must possess and maintain a valid state driver''s license

• Previous GMP environment experience
• Working knowledge of CMMS systems

• Work with hazardous materials and chemicals
• Wear air-purifying respirator and hearing protection as required
• May work alternative shifts including graveyard, weekends, and holidays; overtime and on-call potential
• Lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work at heights; crawl, kneel and stoop in small spaces
• Operate hand tools, ladders and vehicles as needed

37.00 - 37.47 USD per hour

This range is an estimate; final compensation is determined by qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations.
