International Process Solutions (IPS) supports the pharmaceutical and biotech industries through calibration and preventive maintenance of process equipment, facility systems, utilities, and QC laboratory instrumentation. IPS is also a factory-authorized OEM representative for multiple lines of pharmaceutical process equipment.
Position OverviewIPS is seeking Field Service Calibration Technicians to perform calibration, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance on pharmaceutical, mass, and temperature-controlled equipment. This role supports highly regulated environments where precision, compliance, and thorough documentation are essential. This is a local field service position requiring approximately 65–75% travel to multiple client sites, using your own vehicle.
Key Responsibilities- Calibrate, troubleshoot, and maintain laboratory and process instruments, including incubators, pipettes, balances, freezers, biological safety cabinets (BSCs), and fume hoods.
- Apply principles of measurement science, physics, mathematics, and electronics to ensure equipment accuracy and compliance.
- Perform preventive maintenance, including filter changes, lubrication, and basic mechanical adjustments.
- Follow IPS and client SOPs while maintaining accurate, complete, and professional documentation.
- Support quality control, metrology practices, and compliance with applicable international standards.
- Communicate effectively with clients, vendors, and internal teams to resolve issues and coordinate solutions.
- Identify, document, and report equipment failures or nonconformances to IPS management and client contacts.
- Travel locally to customer sites as required; occasional overtime or weekend work may be needed.
- Proven experience calibrating pharmaceutical, mass, temperature, or electrical equipment.
- High school diploma required; technical degree, certification, or equivalent experience preferred.
- Military PMEL/TMDE/DOD training and familiarity with ISO/IEC 17025 standards strongly preferred.
- Mechanical and/or electronics background to support calibration and maintenance activities.
- Strong attention to detail with a high standard for documentation accuracy and professionalism.
- Excellent communication, organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities with the ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work safely in various customer environments.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively while using basic hand and power tools.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
