Snow making Maintenance (Winter 2026/27)

We are seeking experienced crew members to support seasonal snow making operations at Vail Mountain. Candidates will ensure safe, efficient, and high‑quality equipment maintenance throughout the season.

• Adhere to all snow making policies, safety guidelines, and best practice procedures.
• Operate all transportation vehicles as per the standard operating procedures.
• Understand and train to safe and efficient operation and maintenance of all snow making equipment.
• Understand and train to all standards, enterprise best practices, and safety procedures as instructed in the operational manual.
• Operate, inspect, and maintain snow making equipment.
• Apply advanced knowledge of trade‑specific hand tools.
• Apply advanced knowledge of storm water management.
• Maintain effective communication between shifts, team leadership, and adjacent teams within the resort.
• Responsible for pump and compressor maintenance.
• Responsible for utility locates.
• Responsible for hydrant repair and replacement.
• Perform general housekeeping of snow making facilities.
• Inventory, stock, and order snow making maintenance components.
• Audit and manage maintenance documentation.
• Oversee all maintenance staff in the absence of Team Lead, Supervisor, or Manager.
• Assist with general snow making responsibilities when necessary.

• High School Diploma/ GED or Equivalent
• 3–5 years of prior snow making experience
• Valid driver’s license without restrictions
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (preferred)
• Ability to read, write and understand English
• Ability to ski or snowboard at a minimum level 6 ability (if required)
• Advanced understanding of snow making equipment maintenance and operations

The expected pay range is $22.26/hr – $27.83/hr individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
