Position Summary:

To perform the major floor cleaning and refinishing functions in accordance with the standard procedures of the housekeeping department and in accordance with the facility’s objectives. Cleans and maintains all carpeted and hard surfaces in the facility. Perform preventive maintenance on special floor equipment. Will use cleaning devices including automatic floor equipment, 20’’ roto, commercial vacuum cleaners, and 24 oz. mops, wringers and all other necessary equipment, tools, products, and supplies in the performance of the job.

Participates in the department’s performance improvement activities.

Full Time, 8HR Evening Shift, 4 pm-12:30 pm

• Must satisfy requirements of pre-employment and annual physical including being able to climb ladders.
• Must be able to demonstrate skills and knowledge of proper use of chemicals and equipment in stripping and refinishing floors and in shampooing carpeting to achieve the desired result.
• Must be able to pass a test of skill and mechanical aptitude to detect any equipment malfunctions for safety to self and others.
• May be expected to drive personal vehicle to and from various job sites.
