Job Summary
The Maintenance Technician maintains the safety and functionality of machines, equipment, building, and grounds to ensure efficient production of products.
Job Responsibilities- Removes and installs electric, hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical machine components to ensure the safe and efficient operation of production equipment
- Troubleshoots electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical systems to determine causes of equipment failure and recommends solutions for repair
- Collaborates with Machine Operators, Process Technicians, and Material Handlers to understand machine failures or component fabrication needs
- Designs, fabricates, and welds machine components or fixtures to ensure proper functionality of facility equipment
- Records details of machine malfunctions and appropriate adjustments
- Conducts test runs of machine adjustments to ensure proper functionality and alignment with quality standards
- Maintains cleanliness, functionality, and safety of maintenance equipment, tools and work areas
- Repairs building and grounds equipment, fixtures and tools to ensure safety of employees
- Performs preventive maintenance and inspections on facility equipment as scheduled
- Provides information to contractors regarding maintenance related functions
- Completes all required safety permits, assessments, and practices relating to assigned tasks
- Other duties may be assigned as needed
- Forklift experience, preferred
- Injection molding experience, preferred
- Lockout/Tag out experience, preferred
- Hot work experience, preferred
- Working from heights experience, preferred
- Experience with electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical systems
- At least 5 years of industrial maintenance experience
- Experience with a maintenance management system
- Ability to communicate verbally or in writing
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs
