Maintenance Technician / Mechanic, Industrial Maintenance
Location: Valdosta, GA
Salary: $80,000.00 USD Annually - $95,000.00 USD Annually
DescriptionIndustry leading manufacturer in the Valdosta, GA area is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor over 3rd shift to oversee the daily maintenance operations and leads a team of technicians within their manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for directing preventative maintenance, executing emergency equipment repairs, and maintaining facility infrastructure. The primary focus is to minimize machinery downtime, optimize production efficiency, and maintain a safe, OSHA-compliant environment.
This will be a Tuesday - Saturday 10p - 6:30a schedule.
- Team Supervision:
Schedule, assign, and inspect daily work orders for maintenance technicians, providing coaching and technical guidance. - Preventative Maintenance:
Execute and optimize the facility''s Preventative Maintenance (PM) program using a CMMS to extend machinery lifespan and reduce downtime. - Troubleshooting & Repair:
Provide technical leadership during complex mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical equipment breakdowns. - Safety & Compliance:
Enforce strict adherence to safety standards, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), arc flash safety, personal protective equipment (PPE), and OSHA regulations. - System & Inventory Tracking:
Utilize CMMS software to monitor labor hours, work order history, spare parts inventory, and equipment metrics. - Facility Support:
Maintain general plant utilities, including compressed air systems, HVAC, water supply, and building power infrastructure.
- Experience:
3–5+ years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing facility, including at least 1–2 years in a lead or supervisory role. - Technical Proficiency:
Strong expertise in industrial electrical systems (480V/3-phase), mechanical components, hydraulics, pneumatics, and basic PLC troubleshooting. - Software:
Experience using CMMS platforms (e.g., Fiix, UpKeep, SAP) for work order and inventory management. - Safety Knowledge:
Comprehensive understanding of OSHA guidelines and safety practices; OSHA 10/30 certification preferred. - Core
Skills:
Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and time-management abilities under production pressure.
