Position Summary
The Facilities Manager is responsible for managing and maintaining all aspects of Blue Ops facilities in Valdosta Georgia to ensure a safe, efficient, and compliant working environment across office, production, R & D, storage spaces and outside space. This role oversees facility operations, expansion projects, contractor relationships, regulatory compliance, and ongoing preventive maintenance programs. The Facilities Manager plays a critical role in supporting the company's rapid growth and operational needs in a high-tech, unmanned surface vessels manufacturing setting.
- Manage day-to-day operations of the company’s physical facilities, including offices, storage facilities, production areas and outdoor spaces.
- Coordinate facility build-outs, layout planning, expansions, and equipment installations to support scaling operations.
- Oversee maintenance of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, security, and other critical building systems.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA-related facility work spaces, fire codes, environmental regulations, and local building standards.
- Manage Environmental, Health & Safety Compliance and Planning
- Develop and enforce safety protocols on the production floor.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and other regulatory requirements.
- Conduct training on workplace hazards and safe practices.
- Develop and enforce safety protocols on the production floor.
- Manage environmental impact, waste handling, and sustainability initiatives.
- Oversee incident reporting, investigations, and corrective actions.
- Manage facility compliance with any federal, state or local environmental laws and regulations and coordinate with outside environmental firm
- Develop and manage vendor relationships, including contracts for janitorial, maintenance, and utilities services.
- Plan and administer facility budgets, tracking costs and identifying savings opportunities.
- Implement preventative maintenance schedules for building infrastructure and manufacturing equipment.
- Collaborate with EHS, IT, production, and engineering to support evolving operational and safety needs.
- Respond to and manage facility-related emergencies, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
- Support space planning, ergonomics, and infrastructure upgrades that improve safety and employee experience.
