Super 8 by Wyndham in Valdosta is looking for a dependable and motivated Maintenance Engineer to help keep our property safe, clean, and running smoothly. If you enjoy solving problems, working with your hands, and take pride in maintaining a quality guest experience, we'd love to hear from you.
Responsibilities- Perform preventative maintenance throughout the hotel.
- Respond promptly to guest maintenance requests.
- Repair and maintain guest rooms, public areas, and hotel equipment.
- Complete basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, painting, drywall, and carpentry repairs.
- Inspect hotel systems and identify maintenance needs before they become problems.
- Maintain the exterior of the property, including parking areas and landscaping as needed.
- Keep maintenance tools, equipment, and work areas clean and organized.
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
- Assist with other maintenance-related duties as assigned.
- Previous maintenance experience preferred (hotel, apartment, or commercial maintenance is a plus).
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and general repairs.
- Ability to troubleshoot maintenance issues and work independently.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and work both indoors and outdoors.
- Reliable transportation and dependable attendance.
- Weekend and holiday availability may be required.
- Competitive pay: $16.00–$18.00 per hour
