Position Summary

What you'll do...Role summary:
The Technician, Facility Services, Exterior Services, is responsible for managing and executing exterior maintenance projects to ensure safe, functional, and compliant facility environments. This role involves coordinating resources, overseeing quality assurance, and maintaining equipment while adhering to safety and environmental regulations. The position requires effective communication with facility users and leadership to address issues and implement improvements that enhance operational efficiency and sustainability.

The Technician supports cost control measures, leads third-party providers, and ensures all work meets company standards and regulatory requirements. Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and company safety policies and procedures.

The Exterior Services team is dedicated to maintaining Walmart's outdoor facilities through expert landscaping, mowing, and upkeep. The team manages projects efficiently while ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards and controlling costs. Collaborating with internal and external partners, members deliver quality results, resolve issues, and implement improvements. Emphasizing operational excellence and customer satisfaction, the team applies strong project management and budgeting skills.

• Manage and prioritize exterior facility service projects, ensuring timely completion and quality standards.
• Prepare and execute budgets by developing cost estimates and approving purchases of parts, materials, and equipment.
• Perform seasonal exterior maintenance, including snow and ice management, landscaping, and shopping cart service.
• Operate and inspect heavy machinery and vehicles, ensuring safety compliance and proper maintenance.
• Troubleshoot facility issues and provide technical assistance to support customer service and operational efficiency.
• Coordinate with third-party providers and Home Office to standardize equipment and reduce costs.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and company safety policies and procedures.

• Proven experience in facility maintenance, including exterior services and seasonal upkeep.
• Ability to operate and inspect heavy machinery and powered equipment safely and efficiently.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards.
• Skilled in managing budgets, sourcing materials, and approving purchases to control costs.
• Effective project management capabilities, including prioritizing work assignments and completing quality inspections.
• Excellent problem-solving skills to assess and resolve facility-related issues promptly.
• Ability to lead and coach third-party providers and team members to meet performance standards.
• Commitment to upholding company policies, ethics, and integrity in all work activities.
