C Mechanic

Transdev Services is seeking a skilled and motivated C Mechanic to join our team. The C Mechanic is responsible for performing routine maintenance and minor repairs on transit vehicles, ensuring they are safe and reliable for service. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of vehicle maintenance procedures, strong problem-solving skills, and a commitment to safety and excellence.

Rate of Pay is $30.36

Position Subject to Collective Bargaining Agreement

• Vacation : up to 12 days per year
• Paid Sick Leave: 8 hrs. monthly full-time employees/5 hrs. monthly part-time employees, medical, dental & vision after 90 calendar days of employment for full-time employees, life insurance, 401k retirement benefits, and company holidays.

• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections, and fluid checks on transit vehicles.
• Conduct minor repairs on vehicles, including replacing belts, hoses, filters, and other components.
• Assist in diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical issues.
• Follow established maintenance procedures and guidelines.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
• Collaborate with other mechanics and team members to ensure efficient workflow.
• Use appropriate tools and equipment safely and effectively.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic mechanical knowledge and experience in vehicle maintenance.
• Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to follow instructions.

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Prolonged periods of standing, bending, and kneeling.
• Exposure to various weather conditions and potential hazards in a maintenance shop environment.
