Meatcutter

The purpose of this position is to perform a full range of meat cutting tasks as sociated with processing beef, pork, veal and lamb into retail and ready-to-eat cuts for sale to patrons. Work may be performed on a production line basis with the incumbent of this position performing the higher skill level of work.

Examples of related/qualifying experience:

• Prepare ready-to-eat cuts and special orders such as crown roasts.
• Use hand tools and operating powered meat cutting equipment.
• Clean and sanitize meat cutting tools, equipment and work areas to maintain required standards.

You will receive credit for all relevant qualifying experience (paid and unpaid), including volunteer work done through National Service program (e.g., Peace Corps, Ameri Corps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social).

Physical requirements
: (1) Stand, stoop, kneel, bend and climb for prolonged periods. (2) Lift, push, pull, carry, and handle items weighing up to 50 pounds independently and occasionally over 50 pounds with assistance. You will attest to your ability to perform these physical requirements in the Questionnaire.

May be subject to temperature changes based on opening and closing doors, working on loading docks, outside, and in refrigerated rooms. May be exposed to hot or cold weather, damp conditions, or drafty conditions. There is a danger of minor cuts, scrapes, bruises or heat sealer burns.
