Housekeeper , Evenings

This position is responsible for providing a clean, healthy, and well‑maintained area of assignment. Working in accordance with established policies and procedures, this position will perform manual work in a variety of cleaning duties in and around university buildings and facilities. This includes but is not limited to classrooms, lab rooms, offices, residence halls, guest rooms, and restrooms. This position pays $17 per hour.

• Performs cleaning duties in areas as assigned such as wash and sanitize toilets, sinks, showers, and restock dispensers; straighten, dust, wipe surfaces, vacuum, sweep, mop floors, clean white/chalk boards, wash windows and walls, clean/wipe down trash cans, take out trash, etc.
• Unlock/lock buildings.
• Keep interior and exterior entrances safe and clean.
• Cleans spills, soiled areas and other conditions as observed or directed.
• Maintains all equipment and supplies in proper condition and stores them properly.
• Ensures work areas are safe and strictly adheres to safety procedures regarding cleaners or equipment.
• Stocks all equipment and supply carts with adequate supplies.
• Ensures cleaning schedules are followed.
• Provides exceptional customer service.
• Reports maintenance and repair needs via the work order system.
• Works with Building Services Supervisor to promote safety.
• Other duties as assigned.

• High School Diploma/GED.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.

• Must present a neat, clean, well‑groomed appearance.
• Must be in good physical health, able to walk/stand, reach, bend/twist, kneel/crouch/crawl, lift, grip, push, pull, or perform repetitive motion about 95% of the time.
• Ability to frequently lift, carry or push/pull up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to operate low and high impact tools.
• Ability to climb stairs and ladders.
• Can work from a ladder and with arms and hands overhead.
• Can work well with little or no supervision and take direction.
• Maintains a courteous, friendly, and helpful attitude with individuals on campus.
• Cooperative and willing to help fellow coworkers at all times.
• Exercises care in the use of cleaning materials for different types of building surfaces.
