Job Description Summary
Full-time Floor Technician at Van Wert Hospital, 10:30pm-7am Monday-Friday. This position exists to accomplish work that does not fall under a specific routine, like floor care, carpet care, terminal cleaning, disaster or emergency cleaning, etc. The Project Technician is responsible for the improvement of the condition and appearance of the Hospital by using specific machinery and equipment.
Responsibilities And Duties- Uses proper equipment, including commercial vacuums, auto scrub machines, cord burnishes, buffers, upright scrubbing machines, mops, and other necessary equipment, tools, products, and supplies to complete daily assignments as needed.
- Performs general operational maintenance on equipment i.e., checks, electrical cords, water levels in batteries, etc. Ensures all equipment is clean, safe, and is in good working condition. Follows all sign in/out procedures. Identifies maintenance needs, other than routine. Correctly reports and tags all broken equipment.
- Performs cleaning other than would normally be considered routine, i.e., flood or disaster clean up, terminal cleaning, construction cleaning, etc.
- Uses chemicals and cleaning agents safely and follows all MSDS guidelines and precautions. Follows all safety precautions.
- Trains new employees in various methods of floor care, chemical and cleaning agents, and in safety protocols.
As a High Reliability Organization (HRO), responsibilities require focus on safety, quality and efficiency in performing job duties.
Minimum QualificationsNo Degree or Diploma required.
