Position: Line Cook
Reports to: Executive Chef
Wage Range: $18-$21 per hour
Location of work: Elisa, Vancouver, BC
Elisa is an elegant and modern steakhouse breaks the old-school mold and highlights a vibrant see-and-be-seen destination restaurant. Anchored by an open show kitchen and a Grillworks Infierno as the centre piece, the menu features premium cuts of beef, sustainable seafood, and seasonal produce — all locally sourced.
JOB SUMMARY:
Working under the supervision of the chef, the incumbent will play a key role in preparing ingredients and dishes. The Line Cook is passionate about the experience they’re creating for guests through food.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

Prepare and cook high quality foodsMaintain food safety and hygieneCook with precision and speedCommunicate and coordinate with the team, including front-of-houseREQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
At least one year of directly related experience in premium Western cuisine within an upscale fine dining environmentEnrollment in or completion of a culinary programFood Safe CertificationAbility to stand for long periods of time, withstand heat, and deal with the pressures of preparing food in a fast-paced environmentDedicated team player who naturally builds camaraderieExtremely organized; keeping to deadlines and working with precision in a fast-paced environmentResponsible, motivated, and energetic self-starterExcellent English communication skillsThis position will remain open until filled.
