Custodian

Our client, a leading organization in the manufacturing industry, is seeking a Custodian to join their team. As a Custodian, you will be part of the Facilities Support team supporting the maintenance and cleanliness of the VMS Plant. The ideal candidate will demonstrate reliability, attention to detail, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.

• Perform custodial duties throughout the VMS Plant including offices, manufacturing, packaging, warehouses, parking lots, and grounds.
• Follow Standard Operating Procedures, company policies, safety policies, quality standards, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
• Maintain facilities in a clean and orderly condition, working in clean rooms, warehouses, and production environments.
• Use a variety of cleaning utensils and equipment, including floor scrubbers, to perform routine cleaning tasks such as wiping down furniture, walls, and doors; scrubbing toilets; washing windows; sweeping and mopping floors; and emptying trash cans.
• Perform high cleaning in a scissor lift as needed and replenish kitchen and bathroom supplies, reporting supply needs to supervisors.

• High school diploma or GED plus one (1) year of relevant experience.
• Ability to assist in keeping the buildings and grounds clean and orderly.
• Ability to maintain quality, safety, and infection control standards.
• Ability to detect problems and report information to appropriate personnel.
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions and maintain punctuality and predictable attendance.
