Comm Floor Technician; 2rd Shift

General Summary

As a Floor Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring that all floor areas of the facility are kept clean, safe and well‑maintained. Your duties include cleaning and maintaining carpets, hard surface floors, and any other floor areas.

• Perform sweeping, mopping, stripping, and refinishing of hard flooring surfaces following standard operating procedures.
• Vacuum and scrub carpeted surfaces following standard operating procedures.
• Move furniture and other objects as needed to complete floor care and return all moved items to their original place upon completion.
• Monitor supply and request additional cleaning solutions as needed.
• Ensure all floor machines are kept clean and in proper working condition.
• Handle various types of cleaning chemicals in compliance with established guidelines and utilizing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Report any conditions requiring maintenance attention or repair to immediate supervisor.
• Perform warehouse recycling activities and monitor trash disposal.
• Operate forklifts, ride‑on pallet jacks, and tuggers.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 2 years' experience cleaning floors.
• Valid Driver's License.

• Working knowledge of all types of flooring surfaces, appropriate care, and proper use of chemicals and equipment.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to comprehend and follow detailed instructions in English.
• Working knowledge of warehouse safety and material‑handling equipment.
• Previous experience using a ride‑on pallet jack and tugger.
