Role Overview & Core Focus:
Asset Management:
Receive, store, and issue tools, machine tool fixtures, dies, and measuring devices to maintain seamless production and work operations.
Maintenance & Repair:
Clean, oil, and perform minor repairs on tools and equipment while tracking surplus or obsolete inventory.
Safety Sensitive Duties:
Inspect, handle, or transport hazardous materials and equipment. Ensure all tools remain fully functional, safe, and compliant with aviation and facility safety standards.
Physical Demands:
Frequently required to walk, sit, stand, climb stairs, and lift/carry up to 50 lbs. Requires high finger and hand dexterity for repetitive motions.
Sensory Abilities:
Close/distance vision, depth perception, color differentiation, and the ability to discern various audio tones and volumes.
Working Conditions:
Regular exposure to loud noises and occasional exposure to outdoor weather elements, fumes, or hazardous chemicals.
Education:
High school diploma or GED equivalent (related experience or a higher degree may substitute for education).
Experience:
Typically 2 or more years of relevant experience in a tool crib, warehouse, or mechanical environment.
Technical Knowledge:
Basic understanding of the operational use, maintenance, and repair of a variety of hand and power tools and tooling equipment.
Software:
Experience utilizing the TCMax Asset Management Suite.
Industry Context:
Background in the Aerospace and Defense industry, the US Department of Defense (DoD), or the US Military.
