Maintenance Supervisor, Full-time (37.5 hrs./wk.)

Epiphany Cathedral Parish is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to oversee the maintenance, and appearance, and functionality of our parish facilities and grounds. This is a hands-on supervisory position responsible for leading a team of two maintenance employees while actively participating in daily maintenance, repairs, preventive maintenance, and facility projects.
The Maintenance Supervisor will ensure that parish facilities are maintained to a high standard and will establish a proactive preventive maintenance program to identify and address issues.
Job Requirements
- Supervise and work alongside two maintenance employees in the daily care and maintenance of parish facilities.
- Develop and manage a comprehensive preventive maintenance program for buildings, equipment, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and other facility systems.
- Track maintenance requests, repairs, inspections, preventive maintenance, and projects.
- Schedule and oversee routine, preventive, emergency, and special maintenance projects.
- Perform general maintenance and repairs while coordinating specialized work with qualified contractors and vendors.
- Oversee parish grounds maintenance and landscaping vendors.
- Manage contractors and vendors, including obtaining estimates and monitoring the quality and completion of their work.
- Assist the Operations Manager with identifying, planning, budgeting, and coordinating capital improvement and major repair projects.
- Monitor maintenance expenses and assist with the annual maintenance and grounds budgets.
- Maintain an inventory of tools, equipment, parts, and supplies.
- Ensure compliance with applicable safety requirements, including OSHA and chemical safety procedures.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized maintenance shop and work areas.
- Respond to maintenance emergencies.
- Assist parish ministries and departments with facility setups, events, and other physical facility needs.
- Ensure maintenance work in the church is performed with care, respect, and reverence.
- Communicate regularly with the Operations Manager regarding maintenance needs, projects, costs, and facility concerns.
- Other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or trade certification preferred.
- Previous experience in facilities maintenance, building maintenance, construction, or a related field.
- Supervisory or team-lead experience preferred.
- Knowledge of general building maintenance, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and general repairs.
- Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while effectively leading and working alongside a maintenance team.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and emergency call-outs.

- Valid U.S. driver's license and acceptable driving record.
- Ability to lift approximately 50lbs. without assistance.
- Ability to stand, bend, twist, stoop, push, pull, climb continuously.
- Must pass a post offer DOV assigned physical exam.
