Natural Resources Mechanical Lab Supervisor

Our Center for Technology, Essex is seeking a Natural Resources Mechanical Lab Supervisor to support students in a hands‑on Career & Technical Education program. This role is ideal for someone with experience in welding, equipment repair, or mechanical trades who enjoys mentoring and working with young people.

You’ll work alongside a Program Instructor to help students build real‑world skills while supporting projects, maintaining equipment, and ensuring a safe, well‑run lab environment.

• Support students in developing mechanical and technical skills
• Assist with projects involving welding, fabrication, and equipment repair
• Help maintain tools, equipment, and lab/shop space
• Ensure safe practices and proper use of equipment
• Provide supervision and support during classroom and field‑based activities

• Experience in mechanical trades, welding, equipment repair, or a related field
• Strong commitment to safety and quality work
• Interest in working with and supporting high school students
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Valid driver’s license required

Pay: $26.21 to $30.06 per hour, based on experience.
