Global Foundries is a leading full‑service semiconductor foundry that provides design, development, and fabrication services to innovative technology companies worldwide.

Global Foundries Fab 9 is seeking skilled and motivated candidates to participate in the Global Foundries Maintenance Technician Program with Vermont Technical College. Successful candidates will work full‑time while attending one Vermont Technical College course per semester for the three semesters per year. The program includes seven technical courses paid for by Global Foundries, internal technician skill‑based courses, and on‑the‑job training.

Participants who complete the program successfully will receive a certificate of completion and approximately 23 credits toward a 2‑year Associate’s Degree in General Engineering. Opportunities exist to continue education through the Global Foundries Tuition Reimbursement Program.

• Operate semiconductor equipment and perform preventive and first‑call maintenance.
• Actively participate in the Global Foundries Technician Program.
• Communicate effectively and work collaboratively within a tightly coupled team.
• Perform all activities safely and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs.
• Provide leadership in continuous improvement to enhance equipment productivity.
• Be flexible and dependable to meet business demands.

• High School Education or equivalent, or High School Technical Center Education.
• Travel: 0‑5%
• Fluency in English (written & verbal).
• Shift work on a 12‑hour schedule.
• Work in a clean‑room environment per semiconductor protocol.
• Wear required clean‑room protective clothing and equipment for the full shift (excluding breaks).
• Stand for the majority of the shift and lift a minimum of 30 pounds on a periodic basis.

• Demonstrated technical aptitude and semiconductor equipment experience.
• Dependable, detail‑oriented, and timely work performance.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and procedures with required documentation.
• Strong team player with the ability to work well in a global team.

Alternating Week Shift Schedules:
Week 1 – Night (N1):
Sunday to Tuesday 07:00 PM to 07:30 AM.
Week 2 – Night (N1):
Sunday to Tuesday + Saturday 07:00 PM to 07:30 AM.
Week 1 – Night (N2):
Wednesday to Saturday 07:00 PM to 07:30 AM.
Week 2 – Night (N2):
Wednesday to Friday 07:00 PM to 07:30 AM.
Shift schedules are subject to change.

Expected Salary Range: $35,400.00 – $56,800.00. Exact salary will be determined based on qualifications, experience, and location.
