Kingdom East School District seeks a Maintenance/Custodian for Newark Street School for the purpose of working with a School’s building and grounds crew, performing the daily cleaning and sanitary actions needed to keep a safe and healthy school, with minor repair and alteration of the campus buildings and grounds;
This position requires custodial tasks including cleaning, disinfecting, dusting and floor care, as well as maintenance tasks. The pay range for this position is $18.50-$25.34/hr.

Candidates shall have proven experience collaborating with others, written and oral communication skills, keeping buildings and equipment operating. Experience must include optimizing daily custodial and some maintenance efficiencies, preventive maintenance/custodial practices, and maintaining a safe and healthy facility. Maintenance practices, as well as repairs should be expected, both independently and as part of a team.

Newark Street School is part of the Kingdom East School District, located in the heart of a vibrant community in the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont. We operate seven preK-8th grade schools ranging from 60 to 500 students. Our high school students have “choice” and may opt to attend one of the traditional independent schools -- Lyndon Institute or St. Johnsbury Academy -- or another high school of their choosing.

We are located about 3 hours from Montreal, Boston and Portland, ME.
