For a full listing of employee perks both on and off-property, SUMMARY The Hotel Maintenance Laborer supports the upkeep, cleanliness, and basic maintenance of resort buildings, grounds, and equipment. This entry-level position works under the direction of the Hotel Maintenance Manager and assists Hotel Maintenance Technicians with routine tasks, preventative maintenance activities, and general labor duties while providing excellent guest service ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES (include the following, other duties may be assigned)
Perform basic preventative maintenance (PM) tasks as assigned and document completed work.

Assist Maintenance Technicians and supervisors with repairs, installations, and maintenance projects.

Clean maintenance shops, mechanical rooms, storage areas, and other building spaces, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and general housekeeping.

Paint interior and exterior surfaces, including walls, trim, and other facility areas.

Remove trash and debris from resort property and designated disposal areas.

Perform snow removal and ice control activities, including shoveling, salting, and clearing walkways.

Move furniture, equipment, supplies, and materials as requested.

Assist with unloading, receiving, organizing, and storing deliveries and inventory.

Assist with basic building maintenance tasks, including replacing light bulbs, filters, and other minor components.

Support other departments with labor-related projects as needed.

Follow all safety policies and procedures.

Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Provide courteous and professional service to guests and fellow team members.

Complete work assignments as directed by the Maintenance Manager or Supervisor.

Perform other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE High school diploma or general education degree (GED).LANGUAGE SKILLSAbility to read & comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, & memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one & small group situations to customers, clients and other employees of the organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLSAbility to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

REASONING ABILITY to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

COMPUTER SKILLS Must have the ability to navigate the internet.
